ਭਾਰਤੀ ਅਮਲਾਗ੍ਰਹਿ (ਈਡੀ) ਨੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਰੋਕੂ ਐਕਟ (ਪੀਐੱਮਐੱਲਏ) ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਭੁਲੱਥ ਤੋਂ ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਸੁਖਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਹਿਰਾ ਦੇ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਸੈਕਟਰ 5 ਸਥਿਤ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਰਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ 'ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕਿਰਿਆ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ, ਖਹਿਰਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਰਕੀ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕੋਈ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਛਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਹੈ।ਈਡੀ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ ਖਹਿਰਾ ਨੇ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਚਲਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਡਰੱਗ ਸਿੰਡੀਕੇਟ ਰਾਹੀਂ 3.82 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਲਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਖਹਿਰਾ ਨੂੰ 3.82 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਨਗਦ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਲਈ ਫੰਡ ਵੀ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਏ।ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜੋ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਢਿੱਲਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਵੀ ਰਿਹਾ, ਖਹਿਰਾ ਦੇ ਨੇੜਲੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੀ। 1 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 2014 ਤੋਂ 31 ਮਾਰਚ 2020 ਤੱਕ ਦੇ ਅਰਸੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਖਹਿਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ 6.61 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਖਰਚ ਕੀਤੇ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 3.82 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਮਦਨ ਦੇ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਨ। 9 ਅਤੇ 10 ਮਾਰਚ 2021 ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੇ ਛਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਕੁਝ ਹੱਥਲਿਖਤ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਈ।ਖਹਿਰਾ ਨੂੰ 11 ਨਵੰਬਰ 2021 ਨੂੰ ਪੀਐੱਮਐੱਲਏ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਾ 19 ਤਹਿਤ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ 6 ਜਨਵਰੀ 2022 ਨੂੰ ਪੀਐੱਮਐੱਲਏ ਕੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਖਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਹਿਰਾ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ 17 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2023 ਨੂੰ ਖਹਿਰਾ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਦੋਸ਼ ਆਇਦ ਕੀਤੇ। ਖਹਿਰਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਫਾਜ਼ਿਲਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ 2015 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਕੇਸ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ 1.8 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ, .315 ਬੋਰ ਦਾ ਪਿਸਤੌਲ, ਦੋ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਕਾਰਤੂਸ, ਦੋ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਸਿਮ, .32 ਬੋਰ ਦਾ ਰਿਵਾਲਵਰ, 24 ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਬਿਸਕੁਟ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਫੋਨ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੋਂ 350 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ, ਇੱਕ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਸਿਮ, ਇੱਕ .32 ਬੋਰ ਵੈਬਲੀ ਸਕਾਟ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਿਵਾਲਵਰ, 24 ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਕਾਰਤੂਸ, ਇੱਕ ਖਾਲੀ ਕਾਰਤੂਸ ਅਤੇ 333 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਵਜ਼ਨ ਵਾਲੇ 24 ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਬਿਸਕੁਟ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਹੋਏ। ਫਾਜ਼ਿਲਕਾ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ 31 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2017 ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਅੱਠ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਐਨਡੀਪੀਐਸ ਐਕਟ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਧਾਰਾਵਾਂ ਤਹਿਤ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ, ਖਹਿਰਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਈਡੀ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਰੋਤ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਾਲੇ ਘਰ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਕੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੋਈ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਛਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਸਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਈਡੀ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
