ਇਸ ਤਹਿਤ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਅੰਕੜੇ ਵੀ ਚਿੰਤਾਜਨਕ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ 'ਕਾਮਿਨੀ' ਸਮੇਤ ਅਫ਼ੀਮ ਦੇ ਬਣੇ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੈ। ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ, ਅਫ਼ੀਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਨਥੇਟਿਕ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ਼ ਕਈ ਤਰਾਂਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਰੀਰਕ, ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਵੀ ਵੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
