In an exclusive interview with Radio Haanji, Rupinder Singh Cheema, an Indian-origin award-winning athlete and proud father of 12-year-old Eshana Cheema, shared his immense pride and excitement over his daughter's recent achievements in athletics. 
Reflecting on her journey, Mr Cheema recalled Eshana’s silver medal win in the under-12 4x100m relay at the National School Sport Australia Track & Field Championship in Sydney last year, where she proudly represented Victoria. 
“Eshana’s mantra for success has always been dedication, discipline, and hard work,” he told Radio Haanji. 
“She trains with incredible focus and never backs down from a challenge.”
He also credited Denis Huffer, Eshana’s coach, for his invaluable support and guidance, which have been instrumental in shaping her into a promising young athlete. 
“With the right training and mindset, I have no doubt that Eshana will soon be competing at the national and even international level,” said Mr Cheema.
Beyond her personal achievements, Eshana’s success is a source of immense pride for the Punjabi community in Australia. 
“She is not just running for herself but also inspiring countless young Punjabi kids to dream big,” her mother Palwinder Kaur said with confidence.  
“Seeing her push boundaries and excel in Australian athletics proves that with determination, our community can shine on the biggest sporting stages.”

ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਦੇ ਪੀਅਰਸਨ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ’ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਡੈਲਟਾ ਏਅਰਲਾਈਨਜ਼ ਦਾ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਉਤਰਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹਾਦਸਾਗ੍ਰਸਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ 17 ਯਾਤਰੀ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਇਹ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਨੀਆਪੋਲਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ 76 ਯਾਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ 4 ਅਮਲੇ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। ਹਾਦਸਾ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 2:30 ਵਜੇ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਤਿੰਨ ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਈ।ਬਚਾਅ ਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਨਾ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹੀ ਫੌਰੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਰਨਵੇਅ 'ਤੇ ਤਿਲਕਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਪਲਟ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਛਲਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਨੁਕਸਾਨੀਆ ਗਿਆ। 17 ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਦੱਸੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।ਗ੍ਰੇਟਰ ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਏਅਰਪੋਰਟ ਅਥਾਰਟੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਟਰਾਂਸਪੋਰਟ ਸੇਫਟੀ ਬੋਰਡ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਸਥਾਰਪੂਰਵਕ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਏਗੀ। ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਸ਼ ਕਾਰਨ 100 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਡਾਣਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਈਆਂ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ 48 ਵੱਡੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਂਟਰੀਅਲ ਅਤੇ ਓਟਵਾ ਵੱਲ ਦਿਵਰਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਗ੍ਰੇਟਰ ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਏਅਰਪੋਰਟ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਰੀ ਡੈਬੋਰਾ ਫਲਿੰਟ ਨੇ ਹਾਦਸੇ ‘ਤੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ "ਇਹ ਇਕ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਘਟਨਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੀ ਅਸਲ ਕਾਰਨ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਣਗੇ।" ਰਹੀ ਸੀ.ਸੀ.ਟੀ.ਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਦੇ ਅਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

NSW ਵਿੱਚ ਟ੍ਰੇਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਡਰਾਈਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਖੱਜਲ ਖੁਆਰੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਫੈਡਰਲ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਕਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। 
ਆਖਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ Anthony Albanese ਨੂੰ ਦਖਲ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਵਧਦੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਯਾਨੀ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਵੀ 147 ਟ੍ਰੇਨ ਡ੍ਰਾਈਵਰ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਰਡ ਡਿਊਟੀ 'ਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। 
ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਬਣ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿ ਨਿੱਤ ਰੋਜ਼ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਯਾਨੀ RTBU ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ 32 ਫੀਸਦ ਤਨਖਾਹਾਂ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ 'ਤੇ ਬਜਿੱਦ ਹੈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਖਜ਼ਾਨੇ 'ਤੇ ਬੋਝ ਵਧੇਗਾ।
